Esther Perbandt at the FASHION POSITIONS 2024

Berlin's fashion scene at the interface with art

FASHION POSITIONS is part of POSITIONS Berlin's art fair, which takes place every year in the old airport halls in Berlin Tempelhof. Esther Perbandt is not only a long-standing exhibitor there, but since last year she has been curating the event together with hat designer Fiona Bennett, selecting 20 Berlin fashion designers who take a very artistic approach to their work.

Selected from Berlin's uniquely vibrant and interdisciplinary creative scene, the exhibition brings together an exciting, forward-thinking mix of established designers who have long been shaping the city and the new perspectives of newly graduated designers. The exhibition conveys fashion in a wider context of the designer's vision.

Fashion Positions aims to re-expand the perception of fashion - fashion perceived more as an interface with art, as well as a collectible art form. Accompanying the exhibition, Fashion Positions will offer selected pieces from the designers' collections for sale in a small pop-up store.
